Randy’s Blog | Standing Out As Leaders

Motivation, Testing
STANDING OUT AS LEADERS Randy Smith I am often asked, “What attribute should a real estate professional possess to differentiate him or her from the rest of the pack?” My first response is always, “Many attributes can achieve the differentiation a salesperson seeks to compete successfully, but if I had to select one personal and professional quality which tops the list, it would be ‘leadership.’” Why not the development of top notch ‘sales skills,’ one might ask? Because we don’t sell anything; [as real estate professionals] we help people achieve what they desire and need to achieve in buying or selling real estate. We educate, counsel, consult, and teach, and then we lead them through this often complex process. This is precisely why those with a teaching background do so…

Randy’s Blog | The More You Learn, The More You Earn

Testing
This instructor has been teaching NAR Designations and Certifications at Champions School of Real Estate for many years now, and before opening a Designation or Certification class, I ask each student to share with the group what drove them to obtain that particular Designation or Certification. In short, why earn the Accredited Luxury Home Specialist (ALHS), Accredited Buyer Rep (ABR), or Seller Representative Specialists (SRS) Designations, to mention just a few? The most consistent answer I get to that question is, “to expand my knowledge, thereby by making me more competitive in my real estate practice.” We’ve heard many times before that “Knowledge is Power.” This phrase is painted on the walls at every one of our 9 Champions campuses throughout the state of Texas because these words are true.…

Question #2: “How do I best prepare for the State Exam?” Question #3: “What is the single-most important attribute one can possess if they want to succeed in real estate sales?” Keep Reading to see the answers! Randy’s Blog | A Look at Drive

Motivation
A Look at Drive Do you have the ‘drive’ necessary to succeed on the level you intend to in this New Year? And what exactly is ‘drive?’ Is drive the ‘by all and end all,’ or is there something more important?  Denis Waitley said, “Success is almost totally dependent upon drive and persistence. The extra energy required to make another effort or try another approach is the secret to winning.”   So, is ‘drive’ synonymous with ‘persistence’? The answer is no. Is ‘drive’ synonymous with determination or perseverance? Again, not at all; these words represent the attributes and qualities essential for our drive to the surface and to play out in all that we do. Without drive, don’t expect determination nor persistence to show up to carry you across…

Randy’s Blog | A Look at Gratitude

Motivation
A Look at Gratitude “Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.” – Marcus Cicero A few thousand years ago, Marcus Cicero said that “Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.” It’s pretty simple for us to feel and express gratitude at this time of year, the Holiday season, but what’s difficult is maintaining that spirit throughout the course of the year as we take on the obstacles and challenges which inevitably show up in our career and life in general. Gratitude is a mindset, it is dynamic in that such a mindset doesn’t just happen, we must tune into it, then we must cultivate that mindset day in and day out. When obstacles and challenges appear,…
